US based companies declared staff must be vaccinated before returning to office

New York city has taken the initiative that provide ‘key to NYC pass’ which is the proof of Covid-19 vaccination. With this pass, citizens will be running to their businesses as also participating regular activities.

This vaccination policy will play very essential role to the recovery US economic. New York city have declared to show vaccination proof for attending indoor activities. So, anyone who requires more staffs and customers for their indoors businesses and who wants to restart works they must get vaccinated against Covid-19.

New York city Mayor Bill de Blasio said, “The policy would "turn the tide" on Covid. The city is creating the "Key to NYC Pass" to provide proof of vaccination to workers and patrons at gyms, restaurants and entertainment venues”.

For this policy, people are more encouraged to getting Covid-19 vaccination as current Delta variant spreads in the entire US and increased covid infections.

However, New York city has some areas where largely poor communities lived. Recent survey showed that those areas vaccination rate is lower than other areas. As part of the vaccination policy, those areas have to be fully covered and its effect will start to shown within this month.

However, in April a survey by Arizona State University and the Rockefeller Foundation found that, 44% of companies in North America would require vaccinations for workers, while nearly a third said they planned to encourage jabs but wouldn't make it compulsory.

On early September, vaccination will be fully enforced in entire US because that time school and business companies are expected to reopen entirely.

Before one week, “Netflix made it mandatory for key cast and crew on US TV and film productions to have had jabs.”

Netflix has implemented the move after new standards were recently agreed between “Hollywood unions and studios that would allow companies to implement mandatory vaccination policies for key cast members and crew.”

Other firms such as Google have said, “workers must get vaccinated before returning to the office.”

In a blog post Google chief executive officer Sundar Pichai said, "anyone coming to work on our campuses will need to be vaccinated".

Google will extend the full reopening of its global campuses from 1 September to 18 October due to a spike in cases caused by the Delta variant of coronavirus.

They expect that 60% of their employees will work in the office for few days each weeks and one fifth will be working in new office space and another fifth will be working fully from home.

American multinational investment bank and financial services company Goldman Sachs bankers also have to disclose how many jabs they have had before returning to the office.”

On the other hand, big tech firms Facebook have said, “they will let all employees who can work away from the office do so once the pandemic is over.”

In those situation US, JP Morgan said in June that, “it would instruct staff to log their vaccination status on an internal web portal, with fully-jabbed employees being allowed to discard face masks at work.”

But, other big cities of the US have given instruction to wear masks once again in indoor events and people who have been fully vaccinated. Because this virus is still extremely dangerous. Though it has been reluctant to do so.
